Here is the quarterly letter from the Alumni Association President, Teresa Gemignani '71
Happy New School Year!
Another year has begun for Roseville High School. The Class of 2027 is getting excited about this final year and the future to come. The Class of 2030 are excited about taking this next step in their life and education. Can you remember the first steps you took on Campus? Can you remember all the emotions you felt? Do you still have some of your things from High School? I found that my mom saved all my report cards! And I have carefully saved all my diplomas! These prove that I had good attendance! LOL!
We begin a new year with the Alumni Association. Our first activity of the school year is the Teacher’s Wish List. This was started to help the teachers get materials to enhance their classroom teaching that might not be available through the School Budget. We have helped buy so much over the years…. videos, cd’s, books in English and other languages, rack for lab coats, screens for welding…. whatever a teacher might need. Your dues and any donations given are used for this activity. The Teachers have the information, and we all eagerly look forward to helping them. Remember the Teacher’s Wish List when you send in your dues.
Last week was the beginning of another Athletic Year. The Tigers had their first football game of the year defeating Antelope High School. This week will be their first home game against cross town rival Oakmont. If you missed it, last year after 37 years they won the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section championship! Let’s do it again Tigers!
The new pool is completed so we look forward to some great swimming competitions at the school. You’ll find on Roseville High School’s website (Roseville.rjuhsd.us) all sporting schedules. Pick a sport and come out and support!
I am looking forward to another Alumni Association yeset...and to my 1971 Class Reunion on September 26th, I look forward to seeing many classmates. And hopefully, we all recognize eachother!
